Thanksgiving is in exactly one week! Unfortunately, Dave and I won’t be flying home to Connecticut for the holiday. Instead, we’ll be hosting our own little Thanksgiving day for two at our place. I’m excited to make our first Thanksgiving dinner together. It will be fun and relaxing for the both of us. Our plan is to lounge around in jammies, cook up a storm and eat until we roll over. I can’t wait! Even though it will just be the two of us, I’m looking forward to decorating our kitchen table for the occasion. To get inspired, I’ve collected 6 creative Thanksgiving place card ideas from around the web. Keep reading below to to get inspired too!
A Mini Rosemary Wreath – I love the idea of using a mini wreath as a place holder for a Thanksgiving dinner table. This dainty and intricate mini wreath looks both elegant and shabby chic.
Chalk Board Log – This DIY chalk board log is the perfect rustic place holder. I like the fact that guests can take their name cards home with them after dinner and have them as a keepsakes.
Paint Swatches – This idea of using paint swatches as name cards is absolutely brilliant! I love how easy it is for the host to make and I also love that there are endless color schemes to choose from.
Name in Wire – This Thanksgiving place holder takes a little longer to make and requires some patience from the host, but the end result looks beautiful. Your guests will surely be amazed when they see their name spelled out in gold wire.
A Statement Eggplant – Who says adults can’t play with their food? This Thanksgiving place card idea will definitely have your guests talking. We’re used to seeing eggplant on our plates but the idea of using an eggplant as a place holder is both cheeky and fun!
Let the Leaf do the Talking – Bring nature inside your house this Thanksgiving by using leafs as place card holders. It looks so effortlessly stylish, don’t you think?
I’d love to know, how are you planning to decorate your Thanksgiving table?
