Here’s part two of our weekend in Madison. We woke up early on Saturday morning, grabbed coffees and pastry treats and slowly walked around the Wisconsin State Capitol square. For every Saturday on the square, local farmers and bakers set up their tents for one of the best farmers markets I have ever seen. Seriously, the colors at this market! I couldn’t stop taking pictures, which is why there are so many here in this post. Everything sold on the square was locally produced; there were flowers of all sorts and homemade pies, sweet chili peppers and jarred pickles, cheese curd samples and cinnamon buns topped with gooey frosting. We strolled along and tent by tent, we ate our way through the square. Good food and good company. The essential ingredients to a beautiful weekend.
