Life Lately

I thought it would be fun to share a few iPhone photos because sometimes, I forget about those ones. This weekend though, I was so glad I had my iPhone on me because I completely forgot to recharge my camera. I’m thankful we have these mini phones with cameras that we carry around in our pockets. I probably wouldn’t remember half of the things I do without these fun photos to look back on. Anyways, here’s a little of life lately and a few photos from my birthday weekend. We’ve really just been embracing this very, very cold winter by eating lots of good food, and drinking lots of good wine, and surrounding ourselves with some awesome people. It’s not a bad life, huh?

Another thing we’ve been doing on cold days, to cheer ourselves up a bit, is visit the puppy store. Now I’m all against puppy stores and puppy mills, but going there lets me have a little dog interaction without taking one home. We hope to get one in the future, as we would love to rescue a pup when the time is right. And I know, you’re probably thinking visiting the puppy store is a harsh tease, and it is, but it still gives me my little doggie fix. I get to hold some of the little ones and pray that they get a good home. And how cute are they anyways?Below is Dave and I attempting to make a 2 and a 4 for my twenty-fourth birthday. We split a slice of carrot cake and it just so happened to be that the cake was actually named, “24 Carrot Cake.” So perfect for the occasion! I also had a moccachino with homemade marshmallows in it. It was my first time having homemade marshmallows. I’m usually not a huge fan of them (ew, Peeps) unless they’re in ‘smores, but really these were so delicious! I might have to Google some homemade marshmallow recipes in the near future. Thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes and cards. It really means so much! 24 will be a good one.
