The Secret Skin Weapon I Swear By

my secret skin weapon I swear by – the grapeseed company face oil

Ever since reading this quote:

“Oil cuts oil. I don’t know why Americans don’t know this, Europeans have been doing this forever… It gives your skin good oil so that it doesn’t have to produce the bad oils that give you the break outs.”

I had to see what the hype was around cleansing your face with oils. For someone who has oily/combo skin, I was hesitant and skeptical about this trend. It just doesn’t make sense, if my skin is already oily why the heck would I want to layer more oil on it? Erm, no thanks. But then I gave it a try. The first night I used face oil to cleanse my face, I was desperately hoping it wouldn’t give me a huge pimple in the morning. Here am you guys, I’ve been using face oils for almost a year now and I don’t think I’ll ever stop.

What I love about natural face oils is that they act as a face cleanser, a make up remover, they’re hydrating and they make my skin smell irresistible and look a little glowy. And who doesn’t like that? For those of you who know me, I’m not one to spend tons of money on make up products. I usually stick to the basics that I know do the job. While I haven’t tried brand name face oils, here are two of my favorite, more affordable ones that have worked well for me.
