Cambridge has easily made it’s way onto the list of my top 5 favorite university towns. And, it was exactly how I imagined it to be, old and quaint with English charm. University brick buildings with ivy climbing on the sides, grassy lawns and bicycles everywhere, outdoor markets and street performers, bridges that over look the water, and street food, as good as it comes.
Next summer, we will go punting down this river.
The narrow streets and tall chimneys remind me of Mary Poppins.
Nutella banana crepes and coffee, to share.
One day, I too will own a bicycle like this one, wicker basket included.
We were so entertained by these fun and talented street performers… check them out, here, and skip ahead to 2:16 for my favorite part!
A university town wouldn’t be complete without posters everywhere.
Me, in full English spirit!
Bicycles for days.

January 13, 2014 at 11:16 am (11 years ago)Hello darling!!! I really like your post..the pictures are so beautiful and it reminds me of my journey in Cambridge and Oxford last summer! I enjoyed these cities so much and in Cambridge I also rent a bicycle and it was really funny to go in the countryside and around the city with it. :)

January 16, 2014 at 10:00 am (11 years ago)Thank you so much Martina! I wish we were able to rent bicycles, unfortunately it was too cold outside but I hope to go back again and ride through the countryside. That’s amazing you got to visit Oxford too! I’d like to make it there in the future. What would you recommend doing in Oxford? xo
