When we decided to go to Venice, we took lots of time to find the perfect place to stay. We found Hotel Saturnia & International Venice on trusty TripAdvisor and I’m so glad we decided to stay there. The hotel location was absolutely perfect. We were just a few short minutes outside of Piazza San Marco. It also sits on a fairly popular shopping street with lots of high end stores, which was perfect for strolling, people watching, and window shopping.
By the way, how cute is the outside of the hotel? I love the window awnings.
And, you’re only a short walk to this gorgeous square!
The staff at Hotel Saturnia & International Venice were so kind and very attentive. They were helpful in suggesting things for us to do and see. They always happily greeted us when we entered and exited the hotel. I loved that, it makes you feel super special :)
The hotel has an ancient feel to as it was partially built in the XIV Century. Considering it’s old history, the hotel has a bunch of modern touches. We had a beautiful marble bathroom with a big tub. I was so into that tub. Especially after walking around the city all day. Our room was also the perfect size for two. When we initially booked our room we specifically asked for a canal view. The hotel said they didn’t have any available but would let us know if one became available. We were so surprised when we arrived and walked into our room which had a canal view from the third floor! Score! I highly recommend getting a canal facing room. I loved laying in bed and hearing the singers in the gondolas float by. Only in Venice do you get this!
First day selfie. Getting pumped to walk around Venice!
Every morning Dave and I would look forward to getting up for breakfast. Because, cake for breakfast. Seriously. Lots of cakes for breakfast. We couldn’t get enough. Between the traditional Italian sausage, endless cappuccinos, and the cake, we were extremely well fed. And, what I loved most about breakfast was that it was served outside on the terrace. I’m always a huge fan of dining al fresco.
Our favorite thing to do at Hotel Saturnia and International was to chill out and have a glass of wine on the roof top. It was so nice and quiet up there, with big comfy lounge chairs and awesome views of the city.
White for me, red for him. Real Ray Bans for him, $10 ones for me. (I tend to lose mine!)
Thank you for a wonderful stay Hotel Saturnia. We will come back and visit again soon!
