How to Spend 2 Days in Scottsdale, Arizona

Dave and I went to Scottsdale in January. I’m sure it’s a lot different (and super hot!) during the spring/summer season, however we loved our trip there in the winter. We felt like 2 days in Scottsdale was just the right amount of time. We could relax, unwind, explore and enjoy some good food as well!

Here’s how to spend 2 days in Scottsdale:

Go Wining and Dining

Scottsdale is known for its restaurant scene and we definitely took advantage of it! We had so much fun checking out all the unique restaurants. We had a delicious brunch at Breakfast Club and The Canal Club (which was at our hotel). We loved the playful vibes, street tacos, brussel sprout nachos (yes, they were as delicious as they sound!) and margaritas at Diego Pops. And we also had homemade Italian pasta at Marcellino Ristorante with live music and delicious wine.

Explore the Old Town

We had fun walking the old town. It was a little wild, wild west meets boujee art galleries. We stopped in some of the shops and galleries but mostly just enjoyed strolling around outside. We found that the easiest way to get around town was by bike. Our hotel had some cruisers that we could borrow for day.

Hike Camelback Mountain

Hiking Camelback Mountain is one of the things you have to do while in Scottsdale. It’s probably one of the most popular mountains and hikes in the greater Phoenix area and is also just beautiful to look at. I recommend going early to beat the crowds, it did start to get crowded as we were heading down the mountain. It was also a great workout with stunning views!

Visit the Desert Botanical Garden

I was super excited to visit the Desert Botanical Garden because who doesn’t love a succulent garden? We purchased tickets online so we didn’t have to wait when we got there. It was super easy and quick! We walked around the grounds with no agenda but to leisurely take in the scenery and plants. It was so peaceful and beautiful and made for a really relaxing afternoon.

Relax At Your Hotel

We stayed at The Scott Resort and Spa. I loved the decor and this might sound weird but the hotel lobby smelled so dreamy, too! We relaxed at the hotel quite a bit – sat reading by the fire pit in the afternoons, took a dip in the hot tub at dusk, hung out at the Canal Club bar in the evenings. It was super relaxing and the staff was really nice and accommodating. They have a shuttle that can take you around Scottsdale so we use that to get around too.
