Goodness! This post is long overdue. I still wanted to post it though. So here it is, in December… a summer wedding roundup. We went to a few weddings this past summer and had a blast at all of them. Seriously, I love weddings and I know everyone says this, but really, they make me so giddy and happy inside. I thought I’d share a few special things about each of weddings we went to because they were all so beautiful, full of smiles, and all those nice lovey things.
The first wedding we went to was Craig and Jodi’s. Craig is Dave’s cousin, so we flew all the way to England to go to this one. I’m so glad we did because it was lovely celebrating with our English family. Their venue (Fanhams Hall Hotel in Hertfordshire) was absolutely gorgeous. I mean, look at it! We loved strolling around the gardens, it was truly the perfect location for a wedding. Jodi had her bridesmaids in fuchsia 50’s style dresses and the men had matching ties. What I loved was that she changed into a matching white 50’s style dress for the after party. A better dress to dance in, smart girl!We then flew to Key West for Mark and Laura’s wedding. It was so much fun, we rented an apartment with our friends for the weekend and had an awesome time chilling by the pool together. The night before the wedding we went on a sunset cruise, which was absolutely beautiful. Mark and Laura got married on the beach the next day. It was my first beach wedding and definitely an unforgettable one. I loved all the beautiful detail Laura put into their wedding. Upon arriving to Key West, each guest got a welcome bag full of goodies. It was such a thoughtful gift to to help us prepare for the wedding weekend in the Keys. Our friends Andrew and Beth got married in Beth’s hometown in Michigan. It was the cutest little town and their wedding ceremony was in this beautiful flower garden. The reception was in a large tent next to the garden and just right outside the tent, were yard games for us to play. My favorite part of their wedding was not only the dancing but, the ice cream bar. There were soo many awesome toppings. Best idea ever! Also, I had to choose the photo below of Andrew and Beth because, Beth’s dress! Gorgeous, huh?The last wedding of the season was my brother in law’s. Joe and Lindsay got married here in Michigan and we just had the best time celebrating these two. Dave and I were both in the bridal party so it was awesome getting to experience the festivities together. It’s also a lot less awkward posing for bridal party photos when you’re married to the man your paired with ;) One thing I absolutely loved were the bouquets Lindsay picked out. They were pale pink and purple and had succulents in them. They were just beautiful and looked really pretty against our bridesmaid dresses.
We’re excited for all our friends and family who got married this year. We wish them the happiest of marriages!
Are you going to any winter weddings this month? We don’t have any winter weddings this year. I guess we were the only ones crazy enough to get married in the snow.
